Photographing the New Menu at Canoe Club Ballroom
I recently collaborated with the chef and staff at Canoe Club Ballroom to create a new set of food images for their updated menu. The goal was to produce clean, consistent images for their website, printed materials, and marketing.
This was a fully on-location shoot, working side-by-side with the kitchen to time each dish, refine presentation, and capture every plate at its best. We developed multiple settings and visual looks throughout the day, while maintaining a consistent style across the entire menu to ensure a cohesive final set of images.
Consistency is critical in restaurant photography—especially when images need to work across web and print. Lighting, composition, and styling were carefully controlled to highlight texture, color, and detail without overcomplicating the food.
In addition to on-location work, I also shoot food and product photography in my fully equipped studio kitchen in downtown Worcester, Massachusetts. This allows for a controlled environment when needed, while still achieving the same natural, polished look.
The final images reflect the quality and attention to detail coming out of the Canoe Club Ballroom kitchen, and are designed to elevate both their menu and overall brand presentation.
